"Perform printer

Periodically your
printer will ask you to perform maintenance, this usually means fitting
a new fuser unit, changing the transfer roller and fitting new paper
feed tyres. We can supply all the parts required by your printer, we can
offer you the option of a new fuser unit or a reconditioned fuser unit (
a reconditioned unit usually costs less than half the price of a new
one). If you are based in within Surrey or a twenty mile radius of
Surrey we can fit these parts and service the printer for you. You
could choose to ignoring the message, but this will just lead to printer
that mis-feeds and offsets. Usually the items we print are the face of
the business, would you go out with a dirty face, then why send out poor
quality printer matter.

Why does the fuser assembly need to be replaced and
should I use new or refurbished?
A fuser unit needs replacing due to the constant wear within the
printer. The hot roller is covered with Teflon, toner is a plastic resin
that is heated and crushed onto the paper. As the Teflon wears away,
toner will stick to the roller and offset down the paper, lines will
also appear, if the pressure roller starts to deteriorate you may get
creasing occur. These symptoms point to you requiring a new fuser.
A refurbished fuser will be a old fuser body that has
a new Teflon heat roller, new pressure roller, new thermistor and picker
fingers, these are the parts that govern the performance of the fuser
unit. The benefits are that a refurbished fuser is 50% cheaper than a
new unit, fuser units are just like televisions, if they work when you
first fit them they go on to work for their full life expectancy. We
warranty the refurbished fuser if they do not work on fitting we will
replace it.

If your printer starts
to misfeed paper you will require a paper feed repair kit. Printer paper
feed mechanisms have two components, a paper feed tyre that acts on the
top most sheet of paper feeding it into the machine. The second item is
a separation pad, this pad acts on the second, third and subsequent
pages to stop those being fed at the same time as first sheet.
Always change the two items
together, if you change just the separation pad the grip from pad will
be greater than that of the feed tyre so you will have no paper feed. If
you fit just the feed tyre the machine will feed multiple sheets at a
time. We can supply and fit the paper feed feed kit for you if you are
within a 20 mile radius of Surrey.
